…after the results. I informed myself about very good machines and got in contact with the vendors. Man, it’s pricy, but to get the results that I and the visitors of the exhibitions would like to see, it is necessary

… Ohhhh, the meeting with the reseller of those cheap Chinese laser machines was simply depressing. I spent almost the whole day on tour and the results are a nightmare. I thought I can reduce the investment cost to make it more likely that the project is successful in the crowd funding process, but this is not possible. Anyway, no need to stop here.
… I worked out an upload site. I don’t know whether this is the final idea for the crowd sourcing of the pictures, but it works already.

…today I’ve set up WordPress on TheStoneBible.com. I’ve it already installedit for my URL TheStoneBible.info and learning how to use it properly. I think I will learn this quite fast.
…I revised my presentation with Maxim and Mandy. It looks much better now, after 3 attempts and evolution. Prezi is a great tool, easy to learn, with nice looking results.
… having a nightshift with Gimp and Prezi. So much a work for the presentation.
24th May
… a big step, today I’ve been in our Church and ask our pastor for feedback about TheStoneBible. I was really nervous about that meeting. But she told me that it is a great vision and its important for her, to focus on the good things we achive and this work should not only about the problems in the world.

Following this, I had a meeting with Katrin, asking her to help with the illustrations. She is a great artist and now I’ve opened the door to very beautiful and artistic work. She said that she likes the project and is working with me! Great day.

… 1.667% of the Holy Bible are in the system. Oh my God, this is gonna take a while!
… I estimate that upon completion approximately 600 pages will be needed. I am now at Book 1 Chapter 25 and decided to complete the first book, these days as a milestone!

… today I created some accounts with google, twitter, facebook etc. Even I set up the email info@thestonebible.com already 😉 Its gonna take a while, to update those profiles and make them look nice!

… I started to digitize and pre-format the bible text with a tool named scribus. This will take a while, just the first page!!! done…
14th May
… just started with TheStoneBible, my little daughter has been born. Of course the last days I haven’t been able to work a lot, but today I finished the first draft of my short concept, Maxim asked for! A little milestone!
… I ordered some sample of slate, because I have a meeting with one reseller of laserengraver from China.
… I worked out 3 main phases for the project, 1. Conception, 2. Going Online, 3 Going realworld. Its necessary to be organized quite well now, so I have it easier afterwards! Mandy gets more familiar with the project and is helping a lot with good questions or simply – listening!

… the sceptic side of me was quite strong yesterday and asked questions like: what happens when the baby is born, the project is too big, who should be interested in this project, laser technique or simple engraving??? But this morning I wasn’t afraid anymore about going public with my project. This time I won’t let my fears stop me

… The conception is starting, with firstly chaos inside my head. Slowly I realize this enormous potential of my vision and start to bring the first thoughts on paper.
… sharing my idea with my family and close friends and getting a positive feedback.
… starting the first searches about companies, material, engraver, bible text – and here the first shock – everything is copyrighted! That’s it for the project!!! But no, there is always some way, a solution, an alternative – and look, there is a public licence Bible. Puhhh!
…I’m wondering if it makes more sense to fund a machine with Kickstarter, or to let a company engrave the pages?
